Rolled in-house to the lightest gauges
Ulbrich has been supplying metal strip in over 165 alloys for multiple generations. Working with our in-house equipment and rolling mill team, your order of precision strip steel can be slit, cut-to-length, rolled to the thinnest gauges, annealed to various common or custom tempers, and more. Strip Coil Slitting & Edge Condition
Our slitting machines cut strip coil at finished gauge and temper into the width you order from us. Apart from width: edge condition, coil support, coil inner diameter, coil size, interleaf and accumulation method are all characteristics of the final product that are realized during final slitting. Our operators will make adjustments to the clearance as they are preparing to slit in order to minimize the burr as much as possible. Once a coil is slit to final width it can be packaged and delivered to your door!

We pay special attention to consistency and accuracy of the of flatness, thickness, and mechanical properties strip coil and foil products to ensure that there are no weak spots. With a century of experience, Ulbrich has served a wide variety of industries, making for precise and dependable manufacturing processes. We supply corrosion resistant wire for numerous applications from medical to aerospace and even provide resistance wire for vape pen manufacturing.
Tempers
We engineer our products to each customer's requirements and specifications. Our team customizes solutions to enhance your stainless steel product and processes. Our custom tempers range from drawing quality, coining tempers to extra full hard.
Camber
Camber tolerances are available closer than the published commercial range noted below upon request:
For strip less than or equal to 1.5″ wide: .5 inches in 8 feet (less than or equal to 38mm: 13mm in 2.5m)
Camber is measured by placing an 8 foot (2.5 meter) straight edge against the concave edge of the strip
Flatness
Standard flatness is .020 PIW or critical flatness of .010″ PIW (refer to sales for flatness options per material/thickness/width)

Coil Coatings
When you need the surface of the coil protected during your processing operations, we can apply various peelable Plastisol PVC coatings and pre-plated options. Depending on your requirements, the protective coatings can be applied to the coil in various thicknesses, adhesion properties, colors, and opacity.
For more sophisticated coatings and plating that function well beyond protecting the surface, Ulbrich works with several outside vendors and can supply you with the complete product. No need to send your coil to a coater and deal with the logistics, scrap, and paperwork.
