Medical Plans Available
Ulbrich is pleased to offer two medical plan options through Anthem BlueCross BlueShield – the Century Preferred HSA Plan and the PPO Comp Plan. This Benefits At-A-Glance chart provides a snapshot of the primary features of each of the medical plans and what you pay. For more information, please visit www.anthem.com.
Health Savings Account
A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a special tax-advantaged account that works in conjunction with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), such as our Century Preferred HSA Plan. You trade a lower premium for a higher deductible but you enjoy unique tax advantages including pre-tax contributions to the HSA, non-taxable earnings on interest and tax-free withdrawals to pay for qualified health care expenses.
Qualified health care expenses include items such as copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, dental and vision care costs. A complete list of qualified IRS expenses can be found in IRS publications 502 and 503 at irs.gov.
You may contribute a minimum of $250 annually up to the maximum IRS limits as indicated in the chart to the right. Unused HSA funds rollover year after year so your account balance can grow over time. You own the account which means the account stays with you, even if you change jobs, insurance plans or retire.
Video Visits
When you don’t feel well, or your child is sick, the last thing you want to do is leave the comfort of your home to sit in a waiting room. With LiveHealth Online, you don’t have to!
A video visit lets you see and talk to a board-certified doctor using your video-equipped mobile device, tablet or computer without an appointment. Most visits take about 10 minutes and doctors can write a prescription, if needed, that you can pick up at your local pharmacy.
